Vintage JOE HAWK aka Joe Dakota Custom “Medicine Man” Bowie Knife (KNIFEMAKER EMERITUS The Knifemakers’ Guild)…The knife is a large hollow ground ten inch long bowie blade with silver embellished mounts and marble stag banded turquoise stone grip scrimshawed with Native American Chiefs and colored and silverlace banded snakeskin sheath  all made by Joe Hawk…Signed at the ricasso “Joe Hawk”…Joe’s original Certificate of Origin with the detailed description of his knife is included…Joe was also known as Joe Dakota and played in numerous movies as an actor including with John Wayne in McClintock…He also was a Wild West Show shootist prior to being a knife maker; a very talented man with many skills…Joe passed away in 1999 and was suceeded in making knives by his sons Tim, Ken and Jack Hawk and grandson Joey.
