Vintage Wade Chastain Ivory Grip Exhibition Sword…A truly stunning exhibition quality sword of typical Chastain heroic proportions with a polished ivory and engraved brass grip, the metal fittings are mounted with cut gemstones…The blade is engraved and signed CHASTAIN and engraved QUO VADIS DOMINI…Brass mounts are deeply engraved and have a deep mellow patina…This is the only sword I have seen made by Chastain.

Wade was from Mills River, North Carolina and died at age 64…He made custom knives for over 25 years and to quote one close friend patron of his: “Wade didn’t know how to make a small knife”…He was a true Master Engraver and quit making knives many years ago to concentrate on higher end gun engraving which is what he did until he died.
