Scarce Original Antique European Executioner’s or Bearing Sword in Excellent Condition…The massive iron hilted double edged square tipped blade is in fine condition showing use and polishing with distinct hand forged surface…The twisted steel wire wrapped grip is likely 19th century and is very well done…The grooved onion shaped pommel and iron ferule are well constructed and show wear and use…There appears to have been a design now worn down on the grooved iron cross guard which is deeply engraved with floral motifs on both sides…An exceptionally strong and well balanced old sword that is most likely of German origin.(Antique European Executioner’s or Bearing Sword)
