This is one of the finest General Officer uniforms ever offered and it is certainly one of the few uniforms worn by a true combat commader of General’s rank… Ridgway was one of a very few Generals in WWII who actually fought on the ground and lead by example…The highest ranking U.S. Airborne officer in WWII to make a combat jump in 1944…General Ridgway helped plan the airborne operations on Operation Overlord and he jumped with his troops in Normandy.
