Historic Imperial German Kaiser Wilhelm Silver Gilt Court Badge

 Stunning quality massive silver gilt badge of office with the Kaiser’s crest on a central silver and enamel shield surrounded by an elaborate broad thick roped border…Eagle topped Field Marshal style batons in silver with blue enamel bands are crossed on the reverse which has a period added pin to stabilize it when worn…The gilt silver surface is in superb condition with intense deep enameled color inlays and the badge retains an untouched patina…No visible hallmarks and size is over three inches across…There is a ring at the top for a chain which is now missing.

From my limited research I am unsure who actually wore this badge, but it was certainly a high ranking court official, possibly a chamberlain of the court, and is one of a kind…It came with an impressive array of high end Imperial German medals and orders and is the sole remaining piece from that collection…An opportunity to own a beautiful Imperial German badge from Kaiser Wilhelm’s reign.

I will consider interesting trades for 1950s-1970s Vietnam era Rolex & Tudor watches, especially GMT Master and Submariner models with military history and/or with box and papers or other quality watches.
