Indian Wars US Army Model 1890 Indian Scouts Dress Helmet…A good example of the model 1890 helmet that is very likely a composite enlisted man’s helmet body with rare US Indian Scouts cords, Infantry Eagle Plate missing its pins, Indian Scouts side buttons and Model 1890 helmet body that is damaged as shown, but still good for display… The cords alone will make this a worthy restoration project with the correct Eagle Plate and a better helmet body…This helmet had been stored in an old collection that had not been seen since the early 1970s and I have no provenance with it unfortunately.
