WWII German NARVIK Campaign Shield

$495.00

WWII German NARVIK Shield on navy blue wool backing, the zinc metal badge finish now age worn and faded and the backing with mothing as shown.

The WWII German Kriegsmarine Narvik Shield was the gold‑colored naval version of the Narvikschild—one of the earliest and most historically significant campaign shields awarded by Nazi Germany during World War II. It recognized participation in the Battles of Narvik (9 April–8 June 1940), a combined-arms operation in northern Norway involving the Heer, Luftwaffe, and especially the Kriegsmarine destroyer flotillas.
