Confederate Fayetteville Arsenal Type IV Rifle

$0.00

Confederate States Arsenal Fayetteville, North Carolina Type IV Rifle with 1864 CSA FAYETTEVILLE stamped lock plate, brass stock hardware and CSA stamped brass butt plate…The rifle shows hard use and wear with a period repair to the stock and a later replaced upper band which may be a post war replacement and of a style I’ve never seen…The stock has been cut and repaired beneath the read barrel band and is not visible until the band is moved…I believe the barrel to be a period replacement since it does not sit in the stock properly, possibly a field or depot replacement, but it is of the era.
Overall this is a good condition Fayetteville, North Carolina rifle that displays well and requires a much more modest investment than most offered elsewhere…For sale or Trades considered for vintage Rolex, Tudor and other watches, US Airborne and Special Forces artifacts, etc…Email or call me for details.
